Three people were killed and another three, including a one-year-old child, were injured in a drone attack on the Russian city of Tula to the south of Moscow. The regional governor, Dmitry Milyayev, confirmed the same in a Telegram post.
The Tula region, home to a number of major industrial facilities, has been a frequent Ukrainian target following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine can be traced back to 2014. The war has resulted in extensive fighting, widespread displacement and millions of refugees, while prompting international sanctions against Russia and increased military support for Ukraine from Western allies.
